sweet little "d"

I was so excited when "d"'s monogramming mama emailed me about taking his 6 month photos - "d's" dad's family and my family are great friends (gotta love Cathedral High School) so I obviously couldn't wait to meet him, and catch up with his parents.  Our shoot was on an awesome spring evening, "d" was a perfect model (are you kidding me with that smile and those dimples?), and it was so great to see his parents!

My favorite 4 year olds.

My niece Kat and nephew Wilkes are Irish Twins. Kat was born on May 15th, 2006 and Wilkes May 9th, 2007, so they are the same age for 6 days each year. Today is Wilkes' 4th birthday; when Eric and I called to wish him happy birthday, Kat was in the background saying that she was turning 5 - it is going to be a long 6 days for Kat. Happy Birthday Bo!

U-turn

While in the past 5 weeks Eric and I have both done more U-turns than we care to admit, with each week that passes we find ourselves relying on the 180 degree maneuver less and less. We definitely miss living on the 40th floor and all the excitement that goes along with it, but we are loving what we have found in Madison. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. (kinda forgot how nice it is to have the cashier at the grocery actually smile and ask how your day has been). Anyway, one of our favorite activities has been taking Jackie to the dog parks around us. Sounds lame I know, but these are not your typical starbucks sipping bark parks (see photos below). Jenn of Jenn Van Wyk Photography was nice enough to show me the ropes and introduced us to Prarie Moraine Dog Park, a beautiful 160 acre off leash trail/hike that makes us question if we really do miss the hustle and bustle of city life.
